Modular Power Solutions

BayTech’s modular power strip provides a unique framework for building rack PDUs. Unlike fixed receptacle configurations, the modular approach provides a system of modules used at the time of manufacturing to configure your power strip to the exact receptacle mix for your application. Four series of modular systems, combined with modular receptacles, provide an endless mix of UL, listed PDUs.

Features

MDP, Modular Distribution Power: Non-metered PDU that delivers reliable power to outlets

MSP, Modular Sensor Only Power: Branch circuit monitoring and circuit input monitoring

MRP, Modular Remote Reboot Power: Branch circuit monitoring, circuit input monitoring, and receptacle level control

MMP, Modular Metered Outlet Power: Branch circuit monitoring, circuit input monitoring, receptacle level control and receptacle level monitoring

Remote Site Manager

The Remote Site Manager provides network or dial-up access to remote locations allowing you to configure, check status or reboot locked equipment. The manager also provides circuit metering and internal temperature reporting.

Features

  • Integrated direct IP with dial backup
  • 120/240 VAC support
  • Console port device access
  • Power control for four devices
  • Secure authentication and data transfer: SSH v2, RADIUS and/or TACACS
  • Supports 4 console ports with 4 power ports
  • Secure in-band/or out-of-band access to network infrastructure

Automatic Transfer Switch

Providing redundancy at the power circuit level is critical to maintaining uptime. The automatic transfer switch (ATS) provides a simple and reliable solution for sensing power loss and seamlessly switching to a back-up circuit. The ATS provides a unique approach to performing the transfer by completely severing the connection between the source and load and waiting for the zero-crossing to perform the transfer.

Features

  • Low-cost solution for single cord devices
  • Transfer time under 15ms
  • Single phase solutions up to 32 amps, Three Phase to 32 amps
  • Status and alarm display
  • Local console interface
  • Accuracy +- 1.5% full load
  • 120-240 VAC single phase and 208/400VAC three phase

Redundant Transfer Switch

BayTech’s transfer switch option for the MSP product line is the industry’s first zero-U and rackmount transfer switch with circuit metering. The robust design incorporates zero-crossing transfer while utilizing heavy duty relays for fast, reliable out-of-phase transfers. Information provided by the switch includes circuit-level kWh, amps, and voltage. Sensor ports on the interface can be used with a number of sensors such as temperature and humidity.

Features

  •  Transfer time under 15ms
  • Single phase solutions up to 32 amps
  • Integrated back feed protection
  • Robust design with heavy duty 50 amp relays
  • Available zero-U and rack MSP products
  • Status and alarm display
  • Local console interface
  • Sensor ports for external sensors
  • IP port for WWW and SNMP

Redundant Switch

BayTech’s transfer switch option for the MMP product line provides the industry’s first zero-U and rackmount transfer switch with outlet level control and metering. The robust design incorporates zero-crossing transfer while utilizing heavy duty relays for fast, reliable out-of-phase transfers. Information provided by the swithc includes kWh, amps and voltage per receptacle.

Features

  • Transfer time under 15ms
  • Single phase solutions up to 32 amps
  • Integrated back feed protection
  • Robust design with heavy duty 50 amp relays
  • Available zero-U and rack MMP products
  • Status and alarm display
  • Local console interface
  • Sensor ports for external sensors
  • IP port for WWW and SNMP

Building Blocks for a Modular Power Solution

1. Choose your chassis

Choose a rack mount or zero-U chassis (requires a PDU bracket to vertically mount). Chassis determines:
Footprint; module size and type; number of branch circuits; overall PDU size.

2. Choose your outlets

Number and type

3. Choose your monitoring

Choose a level of monitoring: overall PDU, circuit, outlet, switched, or environmental.

Outcome: A unique power solution specific to your needs!
